We were pleased to host this event as a continuation of the new traditions started by the L.A. Geranium Club.

Excellent Speakers:
1. Sandy Connerley gave an interesting talk about geranium breeders in California
2. Robin Parer entertained and informed the participants about angels
3. Cynthia Pardoe gave an illustrated talk on Geraniums in Italy (from her month long trip to Italy last summer)   4. Sheri Willebrand gave an illustrated and very enterteining talk on whimsey in the garden, a look at unique and interesing garden art and containers

John Schoustra will introduce a new angel at the meeting.  New Introductions from Jay Kapac were announced.

Also featured was a display of Geranium and Pelargonium in art, music, poetry and gardening.

There were 7 excellent plant vendors, as well as a number of artists who sold geranium-themed art for sale.
Sande Hooten created a passport to Old Orcutt with discounts from various businesses, e.g. restaurants, wine-tasting venues etc. Old Orcutt has a number of new and interesting restaurants (including one serving Santa Maria style barbeque).  There are lots of vineyards in the area for wine-tasting (two locations in Orcutt itself and others within a short drive).
We are exactly 3 hours drive from the LA County Arboretum.
A hot lunch with morning and afternoon snacks were served.

As you see, the day was a tribute to these wonderful plants and the delightful people who love them.
